Thank you very much for your query to Ireland Reaching Out. Is Higgins Coppinger from this parish of Abbeymahon in Cork? What was the religion? If they were Church of Ireland, you might be in luck as records were generally kept from as early as 1634. Of course, this is not always the case! But, you might be lucky. The only countrywise listing of all the C.of I. parish records that give full details of dates is in the \national Archives of Ireland (with a copy at the National Library of Ireland).
