Hourihane of Clohanemore (originally) and Bawnishal (Batt) and Milleennahorna (Mick) // McCarthy of Lissangle

I am descended from Catherine Hourihane O'Brien (1864-?) who lived on Blackrock Rd in Cork in her later years. I'm looking into her birth family.

Her father was Batt or Bart Hourihane (1818-1903) of who was born in Clohanemore in probably 1818. He moved to neaerby Bawnishal at some time prior to 1900, Batt married Mary Hourihan (yup) of possibly Lissangle, and they had the followng children: Ellen (1858-1925), Michael (1860-?0, Catherine (1864-?abt 1920ish), Eugene (1866-?), and Mary Ann (1870-1950). Ellen married Bill Coughlan and they had two children, Mary Kate (b1900) and Dan B (b1901). I believe Mary Kate may have emigrated. Catherine married James Joseph O'Brien, an accountant in the Cork office of the Clyde Shipping Co. Mary Ann never married, and became a school teacher. I don't know about Michael and Eugene.

Batt/Bart 1818 was one of seven children (possibly sons) of Owen Hourihane (hAnnrachain) of Clohanemore. I know the names of two of his brothers, Mick (who farmed or cut peat in Milleennahorna), and Eugene. I think Eugene ended up staying at Clohanemore (maybe inherited the leasehold?). Eugene had a son Pat who spoke with my ggrandfather in the 1950s about their shared family hx, which is the source of the notes I've attached. This Pat had a son Eugene who in 1954 was 16 years old and stayed with my ggrandfather (David O'Brien) in Cork when he sat for a civil service exam in anticipation of receiving a post with the Irish government. Mick had two daughters, one of whom married and became a Sullivan. 

Going from memory on this one but I think it's right: the Lissangle connection is McCarthy which is the maiden name of the mother of Mary Hourihan (Batt's wife)

I have this information from my Catherine's son David Howard O'Brien(my ggrandfather) about the family but when I use it along with the 1901/1911 censuses and the http://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie BMD records and the Griffiths data, I come up with 6 zillion repeated names in the Bawnishal, Clohanemore, Lissangle, and Milleennahorna areas. I'm pretty sure my Hourihanes were scattered around but b/c of naming conventions, there are, for example, about 3 Owens who could be my Owen and 4 Patrick Hourihanes who could be the siblings, etc. I'm trying to confirm. I've got databases etc going, but it'd be great to hear from any of these Hourihanes who have knowledge of this clan to see where my branch fits in.

Also, they're all buried in the tumbledown graveyard in Caheragh. My ggrandfather had a stone placed there in the 1950s. I've visited and photographed the stone, and a ladyfriend of my ggrandfather had his name (David Howard O'Brien) added to the stone after he died in the USA.
