I have been reseaching my family history from the Skibbereen and Baltimore area in southwest County Cork. I am focused on about 25 surnames - main surnames from this area are: Walsh, Minihane, Connolly, McCarthy, Collins, Leonard, O'Brien, Hegarty, and Sheehan.
Would like to make contact with others doing research in the Skibbereeen and Baltimore area - particularly on these surnames.

Am wondering if you were able to find information on the "Walsh" & "Minihane" families?
I believe I am a descendant of William "Billy" O'Driscoll born in Castlehaven, County of Cork, about 1829. He died about 1890 in Knockanoulty, Baltimore, County Cork around the age of 61. He purportedly married a "Walsh" about 1850.
Miss Walsh (born about 1825). She was from Derryleigh, Skibbereen, County of Cork. She died about 1890 in Derryleigh, Skibbereen, County of Cork around the age of 65. These two individuals had a son, Andrew O'Driscoll (born about 1856) in Knockanoulty, Baltimore, County Cork. He died about 1940 in Church Cross, County Cork, around the age of 84 and was buried in Tullagh, Baltimore, County Cork.
If you have any information regarding these people, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.

I have investigated these Walshes from Derryleigh before. In fact, it may have been you I'd written. I got a binder of information from Mrs. Billiy (Andy) O'Driscoll of Baltimore and her son. When reviewing it, I figured out the two Walsh women - I recall that there were two O'Driscolls who married Walsh sisters. It's so much easier to communicate via email.
