Callahan Roots

Hi Susan

There are 2 PatricK Callahan Cork 1886 baptism records on www.rootsireland.ie/ but neither is from Churchtown. There were no PatricTs.

There are 11 for Mary in Cork 1872!

When I searched for Patrick 1886 + -1 there were 5 more but none from Churchtown.

Did you calculate the birth year from census information? If so it depends whether they had had a birthday the year the record was taken or not as to whether the birth was that year or the previous one. 

If you can clarify the birth year you could purchase the Patrick records to get the parents' names (which SHOULD be on the record but some are not) and then search for Mary with the parents' names in the search criteria. However there is still theproblem that none was from Churchtown.

My name is Anne-marie and I am the parish liaison for Churchtown North Cork, I must inform you that there are 2 Churchtowns in county Cork, one in North Cork near Mallow and one south close to Middelton. I will have a look here and see what I can find, we do still have Callahan families living in Churchtown North Cork
