They immmigrated to Sydney  NSW Australia in 1840 on the ship 'Isabella". Michael's fathers name was also Michael a Labourer and Mary's fathers name was Daniel a Miller.Hope someone out there may have some information tO pass on.

  • Hi Pat,

I am the parish admin from Churchtown North Cork, I suppose you are sure that it was Churchtown North Cork and not Churchtown South Cork that is also im the Cloyne district ?

I am asking this as I found several Michael Walshes in Churchtown South Cork but also found a Michael Walsh in Imogane Churchtown North Cork. ( Imogane is a townland  here in Churchtown)

I am not sure if you are on Facebook but we also have a Churchtown North Cork Facebook page with a lot of members from Churchtown who might also be able to tell you more about the Walshe/Cronin family here. Feel free to join us and maybe even find living relatives https://www.facebook.com/pages/Churchtown-Liscarroll-Reaching-Out/29707…
