A wonderful day long series of events from talks on the Aud and its role in 1916 to a live music concert with performances by the Java Ladies Harmony Chorus and the Brandy Lane Orchestra.
Camden Fort Meagher's Unique 1916 Weekend will officially open at 2:30 p.m. With pupils from the local Boys National School singing the National Anthem. At 3:15 p.m. There will be a seminar on 'The Aud' and its role in 1916, with Barry Keane and at 4:30 p.m. there will be a seminar on 1916 and WWI with Jerry Conroy and British Legion. At 7:30 p.m. that evening there will be a live music concert (tickets €25) with performances by the Java Ladies Harmony Chorus Singing Group and Brandy Lane Orchestra. The Fort is open to the public between 2:30 pm. and 5 pm. (no cost) with last entry at 4:15 pm.
