Anne Bolton, born 9 May 1838 (or so) in County Clare, so the family said. She emigrated to the US about 1852, and in 1862, married Francis M Derry. Anne Bolton is my great-grandmother. On her death certificate, her parents are listed as Thomas Bolton and Mary Harrison, of whom I've found no record. She had a photo of a William Bolton, b probably between 1890 and 1910, taken in Chicago. I've assumed he was a nephew, but he may have been a great-nephew or cousin.
Anne's first child, Frankie Derry (I assume Francis was his proper name) was born in Ireland. Anne's husband had joined the US Army in the US Civil War, and Anne went back to Ireland to have her baby. Frankie was born about 1863.
If anyone is familiar with this family, I would be most grateful to hear about them. Thank you, Ann (Bolton) Holler
