Looking for relatives of John Flanagan (b: 15 Jun 1803) and Mary McGuire Flanagan (b: 1803). They immigrated to Canada from West Cork, probably Dunmanway area in 1844 or possibly 1838 with their 6 children: Ann(b:1827), Bridgit(b:1831), William (b: 1834), Andrew (b:1835), Mary(b:1836), and Peter(b:1839). They were Catholic. I'm looking for connections in Ireland.

Hi Mary Ellen,
Thank you very much for your message. I hope that someone with information makes a connection with you.
In the meantime, did you know that Catholic church records from Dunmanway parish are available free of charge online? It may be an idea to do some searches on their website to see if you can find any names of some family members that may have stayed behind. They may be listed as sponsors or witnesses as baptisms/marriages for example. Here is the link:

Another useful website is the IRish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Dunmanway parish follow this link:
You could also check for record of the family in the land records pertaining to Ireland in the 19th century. There are two:
The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) found at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/search/tab/home.jsp
and Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) found at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/
Some other websites that you may find useful are:
