    Hi,

    Thank you for your message.

Most Catholic records are held locally so it may be an idea to write to the parish priest for possible assistance.

One website which you may find useful however is the Irish Times where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. For Fermoy parish follow this link:

    http://www.irishtimes.com/ancestor/fuses/rcparishmaps/index.cfm?fuseaction=showidrecords&CityCounty=Cork%20East&parish=Fermoy&churchid=51

Have you tried looking for their birth records online? You may be able to find it at the following websites:

http://www.http://irishgenealogy.ie/ Records from Cork, Dublin, Kerry and Carlow are currently available here free of charge.

www.familysearch.org This is a huge collection of genealogical records (not complete)

www.rootsireland.ie Have a huge collection of Church records available-however you have to pay to view these

    I hope this is helpful.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.

    Kind regards,
