I am researching Paul Spillane b about 1811, Cork, he and Catherine Driscoll born 1813 Clonakilty, Cork, were married 1835 Mill Street, Clonakilty, Cork. I have the following information re Catherine Driscoll: Baptism of Cat Driscol on 18th March 1813, Father Fachn a Driscol, Mother Joan Donovan. Sponsor 1 Wm Reily, Sponsor 2 Mary Driscol, Recorded Parochial Area Clonakilty.  Record Identifyer CR-RC-BA-20961, Cork & ross.clonakilty.p4772.00029. Their daughter, Catherine was born 1836, their son Daniel born 1839, both in Mill Street, Clonakilty, Cork. Their daughter, Mary Ann, was born 1843 Lambeth, England.   I cannot find any information about Paul Spillane. If anyone here is related, or can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. Thanks. Christine.

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Clonakilty RC baptismal records start in August 1809 so it is possible that Paul was born earlier than August 1809 which means no record. www.irishgenealogy.ie did show an 1817 baptismal record in the neighboring RC parish of Roscarbery but based on your note, it is likely too late. I lean towards a birth date before August 1809.

You may want to consider autosomal DNA testing.

Let me know if you have questions.
