Larr Collins of Adrigole

Hello, 

This inquiry sort of straddles two parishes, Adrigole in Castlehaven and neighboring Coornishal in Kilmacabea.  It even effects Gortshanecrone in the parish of Creagh but that gets too complicated.

Laurence ("Larr") Collins (d. 1867) my 3g-grandfather is listed in the Castlehaven tithe applotment, and there is also a Laurence listed in the Kilmacabea TA in Coornishal, presumably the same man. Coornishal Laurence disapeared in later land valuation records.

There are no baptism records for Larr's children so I have been relying on what relatives are telling me and otherwise flying blind. 

Laurence is believed to have been the father of Daniel (1814-1984) my gg-grandfather, Jeremiah (1821-1903), John (1818 - 1882?), maybe a Johanna, maybe a Diana.  The families of Jeremiah and John stuck around in Adrigole and are well documented.  Several of John's descendants are buried in the Abbeystrowry cemetery if the Southern Star is accurate. Daniel my gg-grandfather ended up in Cullomane East near Bantry.  Johanna married a John Donovan and eventually settled in Ardagh near Roscarberry and lived to a ripe old age.  Diana married a Tim Sullivan and settled in Clooncugger.  It seemed like she married a bit late, but they had three children.  She died relatively young.

All three sons Daniel, Jeremiah, and John - named their oldest son Laurence and their oldest daughter Catherine.  I wish I knew more about Johanna and Diana and who the mother (or mothers) were for all of these people whom I assume are Larr's children.

The main reason why I've been able to find out anything at all is because names like Laurence Collins and Diana (or Dinah) Collins are relatively uncommon and fairly easy to spot in records.  I have an extensive family tree descended from Larr that has some 600 people in it.

There is a mysterious family in Coornishal headed by Thomas Collins and Kate Foley. There are records for their children in Kilmacabea RC parish 1840-1856, and among the names of their children are Laurence and Dinah.  I wonder how they were related to the folks in Adrigole.
