On my grgrandfather's marriage certificate it states he was from "Kenelogh" parish. Other sources have him born in Cavan. It has been suggested that perhaps Kinlough is what priest should have written. I am a bit confused as to where this parish is. His name was John Keogh, born to Nicholas and Bridget. John was married 1863 in Dublin, so assume born ca 1840. Any help appreciated.

There is a town/village called Kinlough in north Co. Leitrim close to the Donegal border. This website will give you a little more background on Kinlough. http://www.kinlough.net/
Kinlough is in Rossinver civil parish. There is no civil parish called Kinlough but there is a Catholic parish of Kinlough and Glenade and the church is St. Aidans. http://www.kilmorediocese.ie/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=14%3Akinlough-and-glenade&catid=14&Itemid=43
