'Through DNA I have connected may of the Lynch's throughout the US. We have linked it back to Denis and Joanna. They had 13 children in Macroom that I have found through Ancestry and connected with some 4th cousins. I cannot find anything in the history to show thier family lineage. Ia there anyone that could help me with this family, I would be forever grateful. Thank you.

  • Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

I located a transcription of the marriage record on the subscription site Roots Ireland.

    Date of Marriage:25-Nov-1823
    Parish / District:MACROOM
    County:Co. Cork  Husband:DenisLynch
    Wife JohannaKeleher

The Macroom baptismal records start September 28 1805. I did not locate a Denis Lynch or a Johanna Kelleher baptismal record in the available Macroom records and likely they were baptized prior to September 28, 1805.

  • I am interested in a Johanna Kelleher, born in Macroom in 1845, who was one of seven children. Her father was Patrick Kelleher, her mother was Margaret Moylan, from County Clare. Johanna emigrated to USA in 1863.

I know a living Lynch in Ireland.

Would be interested in sharing if by chance we have a match of families.

  • I am interested in finding out about a Michael Patrick Lynch born on 14th Oct 1884 supposedly in Macroom he married and had a son Ivor.  Michael had a brother Patrick and they both may have moved to England before Michael left for Australia and married again to my auntie Mable Greig. Can anyone give me any clues.   Robert.
