I am interested in finding the parish of Delia E. Fleming.  Delia was born Feb. 14, 1865.  She emmigrated to the States around 1880.  It is believed she had a brother Michael, who emmigrated as well to the States.

I am appreciative of any information and assistance.  Thank you.

  • Hi there,

Please post more information (if you have it). This will greatly help you to find more information, for me to help you, and for the communities in County Cork to help you. Do you have any information you can source in the States? Death date (you could check local newspapers for death notices), date/place of arrival for immigration to the US, etc., Feel free to contact us anytime if you find any additonal information.

In the meantime, hopefully someone in the Cork area will know more information and can offer you some asistance.

Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

    Kind regards,

  • Thomas Fleming was born abt 1820 in Ireland. He emigrated about 1850 to Schuylkill County Pennsylvania in the United States. I have read that since he went to this area as a coal miner, that he most probably came from County Kilkenny or County Laios. Any advice about finding records?

  • Hi there,

Where did you hear about the place of origin? You have named three counties: Cork, Kilkenny and Laois. It would help a lo if we could narrow this down to one county. Even then, we still need to narrow it down to a parish if possible.

How is Thomas related to Delia and Michael?

I would suggest you check the US records for information about coal mining companies in Schuylkill County Pennsylvania. These may contain the names of the miners and where they came from. Once you know the place, then the search can begin in the Irish records.

    Kind regards,
