Hello,

I have traced my ancestry back to Richard Fitzgerald of Castle Dodd in Co. Cork, and I wondered if anyone else had encountered that line of the family? I have found several mentions of that lineage in old texts, but cant find a definitive tree. I found an article from (from the 1800's, I think) mentioning them as being related to the Knights of Kerry. Richard Fitzgerald married Alice Perceval and had a daughter Elizabeth Fitzgerald, who married George Lowther in approx 1638. They all appear to be prominent families, so I'm surprised that there is not more information on this branch of the Fitzgeralds. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
