I have a bit from other researchers, and a tiny bit via a New England genealogy due to Arthur marrying into a New England family, and here it is:

Peter Carraher born 1796

His wife, may have been Mollie O'Donnell Branigan (she may have been a widow?) born circa 1794

Children:

John, circa 1820
James, circa 1821
Patrick, born 6/1823
Francis born circa 1825
Arthur, born 5/1827
Ann 6/1832
Thomas 5/1834

I believe they were from County Monaghan, although some internet genealogies suggest that Arthur and his sister Ann may be been born in County Armagh.

A published book which includes some information about the Carrahers due to Arthur's marriage to Emogene Curtiss, an Ingersoll descendant from New England, which states that the Carrahers emigrated circa 1841, but while they had settled in Ohio by 1850, I don't believe I've discovered if all of them arrived at the same time. Arthur appears to have had brothers Francis and Patrick, who were also living in Ohio. One of Arthur's sons married Rose Finnegan, daughter of one Peter Finnegan (or Finnigan) and his second wife, Bridget Rooney.

Peter Finnegan appears in the 1850 census in Woburn, Mass, with his first wife Ellen, his mother Catherine, and his eldest son James.   Peter and Bridget, according to son John's birth record in Woburn, did come from County Monaghan.
