I'm looking for any information or a push in the right direction to find out about my 3GGF Hugh Cleary who died in Shannagh in August 1877 , his wife was Bridget Galocher who I am assuming died in the same area and possibly around the same time frame. Also my 2GGF Patrick Cleary who was born Mar 1831 in Drumholm .Patrick moved to Scotland sometime before 1855 and was married there.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

Drumholm/Drumhome is in the civil parish of Kilbarron near the border of Fermanagh.

I found an area call Shannagh in North Donegal int he civil parish of Clondavaddog. But I wouldn't imagine that it is the same Shannagh that your 3x Great Grandparent's died although it is not impossible.

There is a Shannagh townland in Drumhome Parish. It is outside of Ballintra. There was a school there that is now a private home. If you go to http://www.freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bhilchey/MDrumhome.html there is a map that will show you the location.

Wondering if you found out any information on Hugh Cleary, born 1796 Shannagh. He is my 4GGF. Patrick Cleary born Donegal 1831 is my 3GGF, with his son James my 2GF.
