Hi - my grandfather was Connell Boyle. Connell Boyle was born in 1901 and immigrated to the United States in 1921. I've found the family in the 1901 and 1911 census records living in Altcor. My great-grandfather's name was also Connell (in the census he is identified as Condy Boyle) -- I have an unconfirmed detail that my great-grandfather passed away in 1941 (I've tried to find his death certificate but no success thus far).
There is a Connell Boyle in Altcor townland identified in Griffith's valuation. This might be Condy Boyle's father - my mother says Connell was Condy's father's first name.
I have an unconfirmed death date for the eldest Connell for 1913. However, I cannot pinpoint him in the Ireland census for 1901 and 1911. He is not living in Altcor. Nor can I find a death record for him. Does anyone know the family history regarding the oldest Connell? Where was he living in the early 1900s?
According to the tithe applotment books, there is a Connell Boyle in Meenyamore townland. I've not been able to pinpoint that townland in Griffith's valuation or 1901/1911 census. I assume that there is a spelling variation across those 1800s sources. Does anyone know any further details regarding this Connell? I'm trying to determine if there is a family connection.
Can anyone shed some light on the Boyle family history? My grandfather's siblings married into local families.
Maryann Boyle (1889 - 1984) married Patrick Cassidy; Patrick Boyle (1894-1954) married Elizabeth McCahill: Catherine Boyle (1896-1985) married John Cunningham; Margaret Boyle (1899-1992) married John Mulreany; Agnes Boyle (1904-1988) married Own Meehan; Michael Boyle (1911-2000) married Mary Burke; the youngest sibling was Veronica Boyle.

Dear Roger,
I've not received any response to this email inquiry. To narrow down my question, I am trying to track down the date of death / death certificate for Connell (Condy) Boyle from Altcor townland. He is identified as the heat of household for the Boyle family in Altcor townland in the 1901 and 1911 census. As noted, the oral family history is that he died in 1941, but when I try to obtain an official death certificate, I was told that no record matched that year.
I have also had no luck tracking down information relating to Condy Boyle's father (also supposed to be named Connell Boyle). Again oral family history is that he died in 1913, but I cannot find this older Connell Boyle in the 1901 or 1911 census. Any help trying to locate this older Connell would be appreciated.

www.irishgenealogy.ie is down now. Not sure if you know that about a month ago, the Irish government released the images of many civil records. When the site is back up.
Sorry, you did not hear from the Inver PL.

I located the death record for the younger Connell Boyle and it was in 1941. It was under Condy Boyle. You will have to log in to see the record. If it does not work, go to www.irishgenealogy.ie then civil records and enter Condy Boyle Donegal registration district and 1941. For the older Connell, the only possible record was in 1927 for someone 83 who was not in Altcor. Likely not who you want.
