Civil Birth Certificate Found, how do I find the baptism?

I have located the birth certificate for my ancestor Mary McCallg (McCaliog) b. 1869 Registered in Mountcharles Co. Donegal with the dwelling place of her parents listed as Drumbeg. How can I go about finding the parish church the family would have attended ? Mary's parents were James McCallig and Bridget  Brazer McCallig- they were married in Inver in 1868. I am visiting in August and would welcome any advice or direction .

Thank you,

  • Judy:

    Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

What was the religious denomination for the family? The RC records for Inver start around 1860 but I checked Roots Ireland and did not see the record. Here is the RC parish register

Also, Drumbeg and Cloverhill (shown on the marriage record) are the same townland in Inver civil parish.

  • The McCallig family was Roman Catholic. Thank you for the link, I will keep searching.
