Hi,

I am looking for any information about my grandmother, Margaret McCauley. She was born about 1882 in Ireland. Her father's name was Patrick and her mother's name was Katie Forde. There is a  widower Patrick McCauley in your 1901 census  with a daughter Maggie. I was curious if you could find out what his wife's name was. He is listed as 50 years old in 1901, so I'm thinking he was born about 1850...my grandmother left Ireland in about 1906 and she came to Massachusetts. She met my grandfather James Flynn and they were married 41 years until her death in 1949.....I would greatly appreciate any information you have, thank you very much, Kathleen Flynn

The Patrick and Maggie you found in Rooskey, Raymoghy parish can't be your family. That Maggie was still in Rooskey in 1911 and your Margaret left in 1906. Do you know for sure that the McCauleys are from Raymoghy parish or are you basing the parish on the 1901 census you located? I did find a civil birth index record for a Margaret M'Cauley in 1882. You can get a copy of this record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. The record will show where they lived in 1882.
