Castledowey:   Mathew Patterson died 19.1.1895 married:  Mary Tate b 1817 died 19.7.1904  both buried at Errity.

Parents of

Mary Jane b 1845,

Anna Eliza b 15.6.1847;  d 2.3.1908 Palmerston, New Zealand married John Vance  (Drumatoland)

Catherine; m John Patterson Stevenson 11.9.1867 Manorcunningham

Rachel b 1852 d 11.4.1880 Galdonagh; married Robert Donaghy (Galdonagh)

Maria b 1855 died 22.6.1938 in Christchurch New Zealand; (my great grandmother see below)

Rebecca b 1861 died before 1888 in Woodhill

Mathew b 1862 d 1954 Castledowey

Woodhill: Elizabeth Dingwell b 1818 d21.3.1884 married John Patterson b 1807 d 16.9.1891

Robert John Patterson died 2.7.1928 Christchurch New Zealand

Maria Patterson (Castledowey)married Robert John Patterson(Woodhill) 15 November 1883 2nd Ray Presbyterian Church, Errity. Witnesses were Patrick Clay and Mathew Patterson. Parents of Eliza Adella b 5.2.1885 (Woodhill),Lawrence b 24.3.1886; Robert John b 7.1.1889; Rachel Georgina b 5.10.1889; Harriet Maria b 10.2.1892;

They sailed to Christchurch New Zealand on SS Arawa on 12.1.1893. Then had more children: Anna Gertrude, William George and Joseph Alexander.

Apparently some of the family went to America, but I do not know who.
