Hi friends,
My family came from Lunniagh in the 1800s which I think is part of this Parish. Does anyone know the RC Church where they may have worshipped at? I would be very interested to find out. I'm related to Hugh and Catherine Coll who settled on the West Coast of NZ and also Sweeney and Peoples families from the Bloody Foreland area also. Maree :-)

Several Coll families still living in Lunniagh in the 1901 census (11 people in total):

Sadly the parish records only start in 1868 which means that tracing back much earlier than that may be challenging. This link mentions churches at Cottern and Gweedore. There’s also a map of Lunniagh from the 1830s:
