Samuel Wallace farmed somewhere in Co Down.  He married and had six children: Robert, Samuel, Mary Jane, Isabella, Eliza and another daughter who married and emigrated to the US.  About 1850 the family moved to Co Tyrone and Samuel Wallace appears on Griffiths Valuation in the townland of Mullyneill.  I would like to learn where in Co Down he originated, and when, who he married, and who his parents were.

  • Hi there,

Can I ask you why you have posted this message in Aghaderg? Could you post your message here (Mullyneill):

Hopefully, someone in the areas you mention will know a little more information and be able to guide you in the right direction.

Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi Sinead,

I posted the message in Aghaderg because I had to choose a parish.  I would have preferred to post it to Co Down as a whole.  I simply don't know where the family lived, but Aghaderg does have Wallace farmers pre 1850.That is about when they moved to Tyrone.  I know more about them in Tyrone.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.
