Ardglass (County Down)
Our aim is to connect all people with a link to Ardglass. You may live here, have visited here or maybe are tracing ancestors who left long ago. In any case, we’re sure to have lots to share and are delighted to welcome you.
Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organised.
Thank you Ardglass is said amongst the locals to be known as Green Height. The main tradition that people do in the village is Fishing, because there is a big harbour for those who are interested. It would be a Townland close to Downpatrick about 7 miles from the area. The Lecale peninsula is a piece of land on the North - East part of Down. That's where the village is situated. Boats do come in from different parts of the England, Scotland and Wales for imports to the town and certain cities in Ireland.
