Like Tom McNeely from Ottawa, I am tracing John McNeely who was married to Mary Sloane in County Down, Ireland, sometime around 1825 or 1826. All of their children were baptized in Canada, the first around 1828 in Bytown (now Ottawa, Ontario, Canada). We think that he was born in 1799 and that she was born in 1802. All of their children were baptized Roman Catholic in Canada.
