My ggt grandparents - Samuel and Margaret (nee McKee) Edgar came to Canada in 1860 with their 3 children-Robert Mckee Edgar, Margaret and Mary Jane.  They had 3 other children - another Robert, Agnes and John.  These three children passed away before they came to Canada.  I do not know what caused their death or where they are buried.  I had always throught their church was Boardmills ?  Samuel's father's name was John.  Any information on my family would be so greatly appreciated.

  • My wife is the ggg granddaughter of Samuel and Margaret Edgar.  I think we are at the same point as yourself in trying to find more information on the Irish roots.  We have the family well documented after their arrival in Canada but are interested in contacting others like yourself who are interested in the family history.   This is the second time we have attempted and answer to your message so will see if it comees through or not.
