I am looking for information on my Ancesters, Christopher Murphy(b about 1832) & Mary Elizabeth Murphy nee Sharp(b1838 Co Carvan,Ireland d.1912) Mary lived at 73 Phillipsburgh Avenue,Fairview at the time of her death. would love to find out when Christopher died & where they are buried any help would be greatly appreciated.     Thank you for your message.

    I did a search for Mary in the 1901/1911 census records. I found her in Philipsburgh Avenue in 1901 with her children Anna and Francis:

    However I could not find them in the 1911 census..maybe you will have better luck!

    In the 1901 census Mary is listed as a widow so Christopher obviously died before then. His death would have been recorded in civil records so you may be able to find it there. Civil records are available from the General Register?s Office in Dublin. Here is their website:

    You can search the indexes to these records up to 1958 online at:

    As the family are listed as Church of Ireland it may be an idea to contact the local Church of Ireland in Clontarf to see if they can advise you as to what graveyard the family may have been buried in, they may also be able to find record of their deaths.
