One way to find out more about them is to see if you can trace them from the Griffith's Valuation and 1901/1911 Census through to the Valuation records using the street name/townland. These are not online so you will have to either hire a researcher or go to the Valuation Office on Abbey Street, Dublin.
We cannot access parish records post 1900 or thereabouts but some civil record details may be available on www.irishgenealogy.ie
Griffith's Valuation: http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/

Best wishes
