I checked www.rootsireland.ie/,  www.irishgenealogy & findmypastirelandireland for Edward but no luck.

I tried 1808 + - 10 years and other counties also.

I assume you've tried Family Search; I couldn't get onto the records for some reason.

No luck on ancestry either.

The Tithe Applotments have 1 Brereton in Dublin 1820-30: none in the early Irish Censuses

I was wondering did you find your Ancestor Edward,There are quiet a few.But you have equail amount of R.C and COI so it would be useful to know which they are.
