I know that my great grandfather was Christopher Lennon (born abt 1864) in Co. Dublin, and that his wife was Bridget. I have just learned that her surname might have been Tait or Taite. I have been told that their marriage took place at Rathdown on 1/11/1887. I would be thrilled to discover that this is true, but I am reluctant to just accept the details without any evidence. I have left an Ancestry message for the person who tells us this, but not had a reply. I am just hoping that someone might have access to this marriage record, and be willing and able to let me know if there is any proof to be had. Any response will be gratefully received.

Jennifer:
The marriage was recorded in the last quarter of 1887. Below is the civil marriage index record and Bridget Taite is shown as one of the possible spouses so this has to be the correct record. You can get a copy of this record from the General Register Office for around 4 euros. The record will show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living in 1887. Let me know if you want to get a copy and I will forward instructions.
