Tracing Irish records at that stage is really hard (in my experience) in Ireland due to the fire in Dublin that destroyed the census records.

There may be fragments left for that area if you search for them.  Did Francis marry?  Is his father named on the birth cert?  If so, you could try and trace family by searching for marriage records in that County with the father's first name (they would reach back over that time).

Or.....try the Griffiths valuation to see if any possible remainder family stayed at the same address.
