Hi Graham
Here is the marriage of John & Eliza from www.rootsireland.ie/ (subscription site) but it doesn't have the parents' names which of course are essential for going further back:
There are quite a few early (1700's & 1800) Ledwidge records on www.irishgenealogy.ie/ (free site)
Here are 2 from the Tithe Applotments (free) in Dublin 1826-33:
Ledwidge Patrick Circular Road St Peter's Dublin 1833
Ledwidge William Tallaght Tallaght Dublin 1826
There are none in Dublin in the early Irish Censuses (free)
I thought this might be close for John given the parish is the same:
I couldn't find the parents' marriage on either site.
No luck with Eliza / beth
Nothing on ancestry or family search

Hi Col, Just got back to this site and saw your reply, Thanks for your research. I will look at the roots.site. Were there any witness names? The Baptism date for John would make him 17 at marriage date. would that be a normal age to expect a marriage or a bit young?
Once again Thanks. Graham, from Oz

Welcome back Graham!
Witnesses to marriage were William Mulherrin & Ann Carroll.
I agree 17 might be a bit young; have a look on irishgenealogy.ie/ Church Records as there are a few that are more likely
