Looking for relations of Coyle family. James Coyle who was married to Jane Johnston on 16/07/1856 and had 5 children. Annabella, Sarah Jane, Robert James, Elizabeth and Matilda.
James father was Phillip Coyle and in researching Cavan, Brookeborough and Aghavea is mentioned. The children of James are all recorded on Aghavea church records, link below.

Your post says James Coyle's spouse was Jane Johnston, but the marriage certificate gives the surname as Thompson. Is there some confusion?
The family farmed in Anaghgrane (Aghnagrane) townland. James is listed there in Griffiths 1862. No sign of his father Philip so I would say he had died before that year. 2 of James' children’s births:

The Valuation revision records on the PRONI site show James farming plot 11 in the townland. That was a house and just over 1 acre. The tenant changes to Jane in 1880 and then to Annabella in 1907. Her name remains as tenant up to 1929 when those records stop. (I think she had moved to Belfast by 1901 but she evidently inherited the lease).
James death in 1880:
Household in 1901 census:

Jane’s death in 1909:
The property today is in some farmland off the Trasna Rd. Looking at it on a satellite image the house is gone and the land just farmland.
Is this Robert’s marriage in 1896? Looks as though he was in the RIC so there’s probably career information available for him:
Robert died in Co Donegal in 1899:

Sarah remarries in 1905 in Belfast:
Matilda Coyle looks to have married James Hastie in Wishaw, Lanarkshire on 17.10.1910. A Robert Coyle was a witness. Who he? Likely death for Matilda in Wishaw 1950 aged 79. Matilda looks to be in the 1911 census for Cambusnethan aged 33, along with James Hastie aged 41. James may have died in the same area in 1912 aged 44. (You can view all those certificates on Scotlandspeople for a small fee).
Annabella in the 1901 & 1911 censuses:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Down/Pottinger/Bog_Roa…
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Pottinger__part_o…
Possible death for Annabella Coyle in Belfast on 31.5.1932 aged 74. You can view that death cert on the GRONI site for £2.50 (sterling). She looks to be buried in Dundonald Cemetery in grave D2 268.
Possibly Eliza in 1901:

Thank you so much I cannot believe you have found so much in a short time. I did find records for Matilda Coyle who was my grandfathers grandmother and one of the records showed her mothers surname as Johnston and others showed Thompson. This is a great help. Thanks again.

Glad to have helped. Can’t see what happened to Sarah Jane at all. Gave you the wrong census link for Eliza. Here’s the correct one:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Fermanagh/Lisbellaw/Paughard/1352493/
Can’t see her after the 1901 census.
Dinah Coyle was the informant to Jane’s death in 1909. She looks to be Eliza’s illegitimate child. Her birth here:
She was with Jane in the 1901 census and here she is in Belfast in the 1911:
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Down/Victoria__part_of_/Clonlee_Drive/230206/
Don’t know what happened to her after 1911 but I notice a Julia Dina Nita Coyle died in Glasgow in 1994 aged 67. Middle name Dina, makes me wonder if it might be a relation.

This will help as i think i need to concentrate on Matildas sister/brothers to find any family links as Matilda's 2 sons (one of which was my grandad's father) did not have father recorded on the birth register so unfortunately this will be a dead end unless you have any tips for trying to find out more? Her 2 sons were on the Aghavea Parish register along with the rest of the Coyle family.

It doesn’t appear that Annabella had any children. Worth checking her death certificate to see who the informant was, perhaps.
No idea what happened to Sarah Jane.
Robert appears to have died in 1899 without having any children (as far as I can see).
Eliza and Matilda you already know about. Did Matilda leave a will? If so, that might mention other family. I can’t see wills in Ireland for the 2 we know died here.
Did Philip Coyle have other children? If so, have you traced them forward?
With illegitimate children occasionally the original parish register contains a note recording the father’s name eg “Father reportedly John Smith.” Whereas with statutory birth certificates, the father’s name only appears if he is present at the registration and confirms paternity. (Otherwise the mother could put any name down).
Possibly DNA testing may be a way of matching with others who have additional information about the family. Family Tree DNA reportedly has more people with Ulster roots than any other company. That obviously increases the chances of finding a match. If you have already tested your DNA with Ancestry, My Heritage or 23&Me you can upload your DNA results to Family Tree DNA for free and then join the North of Ireland Family History Society DNA Project. Simple instructions on how to do this can be found here: https://www.nifhs.org/dna/uploading-your-dna/
