Lokking for decendants of any Abercrombies.  My line came to Canada in  1840. I know that I am related to   William Abercrombie married Mary Johnston on Feb.9, 1832 at Drumconnor,Cleenish, Fermanagh since several of the people in  our line are named Johnston Abercrombie.  I believe that his father was John Abercrummy who married Ann Lee at Kinawaley Parish, Fermanagh. My great grandfather is William Watson Abercrombie of Richmond, BC,Canada and this leads me to believe that we are indirectly related to the Watson family in Fermanagh or Monaghan.

  • Hi Ann,

Thanks again for your message. I hope that someone who knows of the Abercrombies makes a connection with you. Once again you could try looking in civil records to see if you can find any BMD?s relating to the family after 1864.You can also search the 1901/1911 census records to see if there were any Abercrombies still in the parish as the turn of the century.

Please be patient - as our programme has only begun to rollout across the island of Ireland and volunteers in some areas may not yet be organized.
