Was there ever a village or town or townland in Fermanagh called "Ihi?"

  • You can see all the townlands in Fermanagh on this site. There?s none called ?Ihi? nor anything much like that. The name ?Inch?  & ?Inish? (which mean island) does appear in quite a few place names. That?s about the nearest I can think of.

  • The gh in many place names is silent - almost like an intact of breath. One possibily could be Aghama in Magheraculmoney Parish. If misheard or to an unfamiliar ear the A-ama could e interpreted as Ihi.
