I am looking for information on Thomas Millett born in 1875 and baptised in Addergoole and Liskeevey per the Irish Catholic Parish Registers on 18 Jan 1875  I am looking for more information on his parents Michael Patrick and Anne (Waldron).  I am thinking that maybe people moved around in Ireland during those times like they moved around here in Illinois, so I am checking out other parishes as well.  Thanks

    I have found the civil birth for Thomas Mellett (note the spelling) born 16 January 1875 in Milltown, Galway.  His parents were:

    Michael Patrick Mellett and Anne Waldron.  He was baptised on the 18 January however no sponsors were noted.  This information is available through Roots Ireland at www.rootsireland.ie. 

    The Civil Birth Record (also availalbe on Roots Ireland) lists his birth record as follows:

     

    16 January 1875

    Father is Patrick Mellett and Mother is Anne Waldron.

    Informant is Patrick Mellett (father most likely).  His occupation is listed as a labourer and the Civil Parish is listed as Dunmore. 

     

    I was unable to find a marriage record for them on the site, although you might check the catholic registers through the NLI.
