Melissa:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
The Ahascragh RC records are on Roots Ireland and start in 1840. I was expecting to find baptismal records for some of the younger childfen of the two families but no records came up on my search. Likely, they were baptized in another parish which does not have records back to the 1840s. I also did not locate marriage records for the two couples.
We have an XO Chronicles site https://www.irelandxo.com/ireland-xo/history-and-genealogy/ancestor-dat…; where you can post stories of your ancestors who left Ireland.
Also, have you considered autosomal DNA testing?

Thank you Roger for looking. I figured it was going to be a long shot. I know there are very few records from before the the great hunger. With the families living on a crown estate I may have to look in England for records of the estate at the Quit Rent Office. I do know that they tried to get the families to leave as early as 1840. They thought the population to land ratio was to high and they wanted to change the use of the land from farming to cattle. I have done a DNA test, but so far nothing. Again thanks for your time.

Hi Melissa - are you looking on information on where Peter Craughwell/Crockwell and his family immigrated to? He is my 4th great Grandfather and I have been looking for information on them prior to their leaving Ireland. I have been able to find much more information in the years after 1848 - they came to northern New York state.

John dempsey and Catherine Gerrity were my ancestors that were evicted.
