The next meeting of the Clifden and Connemara Heritage Society, will take place on Wednesday 29th March in the Station House Hotel, Clifden, starting at 8pm. The illustrated talk on the evening will be 'Lime Kilns in Connemara, and their role in agriculture.'
The speaker will be Breandan O Scanaill who will look at the history, construction and use of these overlooked and now very neglected structures.
Membership for the year ahead is due now, 15euro for the year.

Wednesday 26th April - Adrian Martyn - 'The Tribes of Galway 1124 - 1642.'
Wednesday 24th May - Bernadette Conroy - 'Omey Island.'

The Clifden and Connemara Heritage Society have supported Connemara Community Radio's Race Night, and everyone has been invited to the fund raising evening which takes place this Saturday the 18th March, in the Station House Hotel starting at 9pm.
