Make your own Coole House

Due to the great success of this event last week we are giving another opportunity for participation in this Art and Craft activity for children ‘Make your own Coole House’.

Sunday 14th August from 3pm – 4.30pm.

The beautiful old house may no longer be standing in Coole Park but here is your opportunity to construct your own version from card using a Coole House Kit. With the original house as a starting point invent your own interior and decorate the exterior in any style you like. For children 8 years upwards. All materials supplied free of charge.

Open your eyes to nature

Wednesdays 17 th and 24 th August from 3pm - 4.30pm are the last dates for our ever popular weekly activity for children ‘Open Your Eyes to Nature’. Exploring nature through the senses, children from 5 to 10 years are encouraged to discover the natural wonders of Coole through their own observations. Children must be accompanied by an adult and numbers are limited so booking is essential. No dogs permitted during the sessions except guide dogs.

Me and Nu

Why not also explore the woodland or the Visitor Centre and view the multimedia exhibition Coole Park through the eyes of ‘Me and Nu’, granddaughters of Lady Gregory or the 30 minute audio visual presentation ‘Lady Gregory of Coole’. Last showing of AV 5.00 pm. Discover the magic that drew W B Yeats to Coole for over twenty summers.

Admission is FREE.

The Visitor Centre is open from 10am to 6pm daily. Last admission is 5.45pm.

The tearooms are also open daily.
