Hello....I’m researching the Finnerty family that may be buried in Kiltullugh parish cemetery. The names are Patrick or Patt Finnerty and wife Margaret Carroll Finnerty. They had son Francis Finnerty that was born Jan 12 1878 so I’m assuming parents born in the 1850s. If anyone can help me with finding their burial site or parish records I’d appreciate it because I can’t locate them. They were married in Kiltullugh church in 1873. Thank you!  Caren McCarrie

  • Hi Caren,

I didn't have much luck finding Pat or Marg's burials on rootsireland or on the CD Memorials of the Dead Galway & Mayo

Have you looked at the 1901 & 11 censuses which are free online? There are a couple of possible records which may give a clue to possible death years:

1901: Residents of a House in 1 Laghtanora (Tiaquin, Galway)

If you could indicate which might be the right ones we can then search cemeteries in that area
