Mike Feerick of Ireland Reaching Out (IrelandXO.com) spoke at our meeting on September 9th. He outlined the origins of Ireland XO, its progress to date and the opportunities for Ireland and Irish local communities in developing its Diaspora connections in the years ahead.

There was an excellent turnout yesterday at Mike Feerick's talk on Ireland Reaching Out at Lackagh Parish Centre. In a very enlightening presentation, Mike outlined the origins of Ireland Reaching Out, its progress and the opportunities for Ireland in developing its Diaspora connections in the coming years. A key point of his talk was the dependence of the project on voluntary effort, and the need for more volunteers to become involved at a local parish level.

We were delighted to welcome Galway minor hurling captain Seán Loftus of Turloughmore, who brought along the Irish Press cup following the All-Ireland victory last weekend.
