Looking for relatives

Do you know much about their emigration? The dates, the reasonwhy they left, who they may have travelled with?..etc..Generally more information was given atthe port of arrival rather than the port of departure. If nothing turnsup ? it is advisable to try different variations of the spellings of the names. A little more information. 

Father: Peter James Greene born 6 January 1890 in District of Roundstone, Rusheenacolla, Clifden County Galway. It is believed he entered the United States in 1911.

Mother: Barbara McDonough born 24 July 1894 in District of Lettermore, Ballinikill, Oughterard, County Galway. It is believed she entered the United States in 1916.

In the 1901 Irish census, I think Peter Green is listed as a 12 year old in a house 5 in Rusheenacholla (Knockboy Galway), the son of John and Bridget Green. I think Barbara McDonough is listed in a house 12 in Letterard (Knockboy, Galway), the daughter of Patrick and Barbara McDonough.

In the 1911 Irish census, a 19 year old Peter Green is listed in a house 1 in Rusheennacholla (Knockboy, Galway), the son of John and Bridget Green.

We will be visiting Ireland next fall with a day in the Connemara region, staying in either Abbeyglen or Ballynahinch castle hotel.
