The Galway Genetic Genealogy Conference will be taking place in Mountbellew on Saturday May 2nd 2020

Galway Genetic Genealogy Conference 2020

This is the 3rd gathering and based on the first two, people have enjoyed the get together to share info with DNA cousins, make connections and listen to the wonderful talks on offer. It's very much a social day and a chance to chat and relax in great company.

This year the focus will be on ways individuals have used DNA to tease out their family stories and how using the online resources and good old fashioned visits to chat and share stories and info have helped progress their family connections. I'll have a full list of speakers shortly.

Gerard Corcoran who is heavily involved with, ISOGG and other genetic projects will once again start off the Conference by providing the updates on the various new innovations and discoveries over the past year

The day will start with teas and coffees & registration at 9:30 and once again we have the wonderful facilities in Holy Rosary College at our venue Eircode H53VN50

At the end of the day at approx 4 PM there will be an optional walking tour of the Mountbellew Demense which will last for approx 1 hour

Afterward, people can gather for a meal at the excellent Malt House where dinners start at 10 euro
