Hello
I am after any and all information in relation to Ann Mooney nee Martyn/Martin who was apparently born in Moycullen. She is my gggrandmother and was married to John Mooney 1805-1889. Her death had occured prior to 1856 when John and their children came to Australia. Any information on John Mooney Jr 1805-1889 is also appreciated.
Kind Regards,
T

Hi T
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Do you have any idea when Ann was born, in the 1820s sometime? Can I ask why you believe Moycullen specifically? There are quite a few gaps in Moycullen records. I assume John was from the same area but can't see a baptism record for him in that parish for that period on rootsireland.ie
Let me know what you think
Best wishes

T:
I found a marriage record on Roots for a John Moony and Anne Martyn in Tuam in 1835. Possibly this transcription is for your ancestors. I did a search for Mooney children from 1835-1849 with father John and mother Ann and came up with nothing which implies they were baptized in a church where records no longer exist for that time period. Any other clues? I also gave you links to the parish registers for Moycullen and Tuam. let us know.
