Dr Christy Cunniffe, the Galway Community Archaeologist, will lead this special field trip.
On Saturday August 5th next @ 11am, a special tour of the great churches and sites at Clonfert and Meelick will take place.
A contribution of €10 is sought from those attending with monies being raised for the development of a repository and museum at the Irish Workhouse Centre.
Dr Christy Cunniffe, the Galway Community Archaeologist, has offered his time as a means of raising these ‘matching’ funds and light lunch and treats will be provided on the day.
