Any research I have shows Owen O'Connor married to Eleanor Roberts. They had 3 children, Hugh born 1841, Jeremiah born 1827 and possibly Sarah born 1841. None of this info is proven just researched by myself with no proof of accuracy.
The family moved to the Dwyer Hill area of Ontario, Canada and Hugh is buried in this cemetery along with his father Owen.

Hi,
Thank you for your message. What sources have you used in your research up to now?
Have you looked at Church records? Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which may be of help to you is the irishtimes websites. Here they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. I think that the civil parish of Aghavallen may be in the Roman Catholic parish of Ballylongford. To see what records are available in Ballylongford follow this link:
For Church of Ireland Records check http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/
Also, both Catholic and Church of Ireland records from the pre 1900 period are currently being uploaded to www.irishgenealogy.ie/index.html free of charge. However, as this is an on-going project not all records are available yet.
Some other websites which may prove useful to you in your research are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
The Public Records Office of Northern Ireland http://www.proni.gov.uk/index/family_history.htm
The Library & Archives of Canada - http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/index-e.html
Family Search: https://familysearch.org/
I hope that this helps and that you are able to find some confirmation of your research.
Kind regards,
Genealoguy Support

Good afternoon and greetings from Ottawa, Canada! I am the great-granddaughter of Jeremiah O'Connor of Dwyer Hill. Jeremiah's son was William (always called Will). Will's son was Harold, who was my father.
As far as I have been able to determine, Owen is my great-great-grandfather. Would love to correspond.
Regards,
Laur O'Connor
