Hi.
One of my ancestors, Johanna (Hannah) Fitzgerald, was baptised in the Clogherbrien parish on 28 Oct 1805.
She married Thomas Horgan, also from Kerry in 1826 and their children were Johanna (1828), Denis, John, Thomas (1835), Catherine (1838 and Daniel (1844) - Daniel was my direct ancestor.
Another ancestor, Thomas Evans, also from Kerry, married Elizabeth Fitzgerald in the Clogherbrien parish on 2 June 1840. His parents were George Evans and Julia Day - her parents were John Fitzgerald and Mary Barton.
The descendants of these families all emigrated to South Australia.
Any information about either the Horgan's, Fitzgerald's or Evans' families would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Jenny

Jenny:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
You have done a great job researching your family so I'm nit sure there is much more we can locate. I see that the RC parish is Tralee and we do have a parish liaison in Tralee. I will send her an e-mail to see if she can add any additional information. I added the 1805 baptismal record for the file.

Hi Jenny, there is a Fitzgerald family still living in Clogherbrien in 1901
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Clogherbrien/Clogherbrien/1431137/
including Margaret born about 1850 and Margaret born 1886
https://churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/details/20c8360491045
daughter of William Fitzgerald and Margaret Ross
But if we go back to 1850 there are several Fitzgeralds listed as holding land in Clogherbrien
so you will have a bit of weeding out to do!
At that time there was the Civil Parish of Clogherbrien which included many townlands incl. Clogherbrien townland and the one one above that Roger found.
This link gives a list of the townlands and may help you to seperate out the different families
http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~irlker/clogherb.html
You can now search the Civil Records from 1864 FREE OF CHARGE online here which will help you
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp
Do let us know what you find...I'm very interested to hear
Warm wishes
Martine
