Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Do you have any idea of what kind of timeframe theserecords would fall into?
Civil registration did not begin in Ireland until 1864. These records are available from the General Register Office, you can access the website here:
http://www.groireland.ie/research.htm
You can also check in church records for this information. Prior to 1864 it was the churches that recorded uch information.
Most Catholic records are held locally. One website which may be of help however is the irishtimes, where they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes. If you have any difficulty, you could try writing to the parish priest for possible assistance. To see what records are available in Kiltallagh/Keel parish follow this link:
For Church of Ireland records check: http://ireland.anglican.org/about/42 and http://www.nationalarchives.ie/
Also, both Catholic and Church of Ireland records from the pre 1900 period are currently being uploaded to www.irishgenealogy.ie/index.html free of charge. However, as this is an on-going project not all records are available yet.
Some other websites which may be helpful to you are:
The National Archives of Ireland http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/introduction/
The National Library of Ireland http://www.nli.ie/en/family-history-introduction.aspx
Family Search: https://familysearch.org/
I hope that this helps. Remember to post as much information as you can with regard to the people you are researching. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you.
Kind regards,
