Ah you caught me!

No solid proof, just someone said there were many Lindens and Whites there and the fact that Tarbert was mentioned as maybe a White origination place. The two places are close together, correct?

County Kerry I am fairly sure of as it is mentioned many times in family "lore"

Mary, can you check census returns, naturalization papers or birth/marriage records in the States in case that they may give us something that would help us?

I  have census records, obituaries for Mary Ann and Thomas. I have now turned to trying to find church records in the USA in Carbondale Pennsylvania. I have looked in ancestry and family search and found little to help. The family trees in ancestry all have the same problem, no parents nor location for either of them.

Hopefully, an old record may turn up from my latest inquiries of the churches which would give me their parents names.

Dear Mary, on the census records did they live near other families from Ireland? Sometimes this gives us a clue.

Did they have friends that remained family friends who have descendents that might have information?

Failing that there are 88 Whites listed in Ballylongford for the 1800s. The next step would be to go through and pull the ones who were born around 1825.

When you open the pages the surnames may not match and that is because Linden or White may be a godparent or witness to a marriage.

I am coming to visit Ireland toward the end of March. I read somewhere that not all records have been digitalized here as yet. Would I actually be able to find a baptism or death record if I went to visit Tralee at the County Kerry Library and Visito Centre or Corofin for County Clare or even the National Library of Ireland in Dublin?

The graveyards for Ballylongford are Aughavallin and Lislaughtin.

I have an opportunity to search more deeply. I will need the church and place of Mary Ann and Thomas's marriage in the US and a full list of their children, date and place of birth. 

Also if you have the names of any siblings of Thomas and Mary Ann this would be an immense help.
