Finnerty or Fennerty Surname in Tralee

It gives Honora's parents as Edward Feinarty and Mary Trant, their marriage took place in 1881

Edward's father is listed as Jeremiah and Mary Trant's father listed as Maurice.

Curravough is a townland in Tralee Parish as is Lissanearla

The 1901 census shows Finnerty still living in Currovough

Thank you for response; it is very much appreciated.

I had the first two links; Hanora's Baptism and the marriage of Edward to Mary Trant  on 19 Feb 1881 but had trouble locating them in the Census data of 1901 and 1911.

However I also discovered a third link as follows:

which details a marriage of Edward Fineughty to a Mary Glavin. You will note that Edwards Father is same as first marriage record (Jeremiah Feinaghty) so I have assumed that Edward re-married in 1896. They had three children named John born 3 Oct 1897, Margaret born 28 Oct 1898 and William born 3 June 1900 and their Mothers Name was Mary Glavin. 

The children on the 1901 census appear to be a mix of the two marriages,  those not recorded are:

Jeremiah born 26 Feb 1882 to Mary Trant

Edmund (or Edward) born 19 Aug 1884 to Mary Trant,

Julia Bridget born 27 Jan 1886 to Mary Trant

Thomas born 22 Aug 1892 to Mary Trant are not recorded

John Finnerty born 3 Oct 1897 to Mary Glavin

I cannot find any of the family in the 1911 census but have discovered that a Mary Finnerty (I believe to be Glavin) with three children named John, Margaret and William emigrated to Chicago from Queenstown aboard the ship Umbria arriving in New York on 26 Jul 1903. A Mary Finnerty is listed in the US Census of 1910 with the same three children plus two Boarders named William Hussy aged 28 and a Thomas Sullivan aged 30.

As for Mary Finnerty nee Trant, her husband, Edward and family, I am afraid I cannot trace them with any certaintity in any of my searches. There are several instances of like named persons leaving for USA in particular New York and Philadelphia which makes sense as my Grandmother informed my Mother she had relations in Philadelphia.

The remarriage looks likely to me too Mike.  Frequently widowers remarried quite quickly.

This is where elimination becomes the name of the game.

You could check to see if any of the children remained in Ireland by looking for Glavin  Knockacaska

There are also a mixture of Finnertys and Glavins here in Tralee in 1901
